O QUE É COUNTRY VERSION x BRAZIL COUNTRY VERSION

O que é Country Version ?

São soluções desenvolvidas dentro do Standard do SAP ECC seguindo as melhores práticas de negócios e que são baseadas nas características e funcionalidades específicas de um País, tais como leis federais ou estaduais, leis contábeis, etc. Sendo sempre voltadas á regulamentação legal de um país especificamente. Atualmente existem mais de 40 (Country Versions) no SAP ECC e que podem conviver sendo executadas simultaneamente no mesmo ambiente. Cada solução de País é entregue no Standard a partir de um template / client préconfigurado, que pode ser usado como base para a criação de suas próprias unidades organizacionais e que serão utilizadas em seu país;

Uma Solução de País (Country Version) contém:

· Funções e programas específicos para um País;

· Requerimentos legais essenciais;

· Customizing específico do País;

· Plano de Contas, Balanço, Procedimentos de Cálculos, Tipos de Documentos, etc.

· Programas de instalações pré-configurados;

· Help (documentação) específico do País;

Country Version – Brasil

O SAP ECC para o Brasil (Country Version) contém os seguintes elementos:

· Desenvolvimento dos principais requerimentos legais específicos do Brasil para suportar o cálculo de impostos, livros fiscais, novos tipos de documentos adicionais, fluxo de documentos (“NF”) e algumas regras contábeis específicas (p.ex. custeio de produtos);

· Novos elementos de configuração criados especificamente para o Brasil para suportar os desenvolvimentos descritos acima;

· Novo elemento na Estrutura Organizacional (“Filial” ou “Local de Negócio”);

SAP ECC Country Version para o Brasil vem com algo em torno de:

Novos Objetos:

147 novas Tabelas de Dados contendo mais de 1000 campos;

93 novas estruturas contendo mais de 1700 campos;

56 novas visões contendo mais de 360 campos;

577 novos Elementos de Dados (novas definições de campos);

COUNTRY INSTALLATION PROGRAM
Run transaction O035 Country Installation program Brazil and create company code Brazil.

PROCEDURES

Documentation for the Country Installation Program. You use the Country Installation Program (RSCICO02) to activate the country versions supplied with the standard R/3 System. The standard Customizing settings required for the country versions are supplied in client 000. Company code 0001 contains all of the standard Customizing settings as per the chart of accounts INT. The Customizing settings for the various standard countries (which cover legal and business requirements) are contained in the company code templates XX01 (where XX is the country key). However, these templates only contain some of the standard Customizing settings for company code 0001, which means that you cannot use them as your productive company code. You must only use them in conjunction with the Country Installation Program (Customizing: Country Version). When you execute the Country Installation Program, the system makes the standard Customizing settings for the country in question in company code 0001. These settings cover, for example, chart of accounts, account determination, tax calculation schemes, financial statements, payment methods, chart of depreciation, and cost elements. The program integrates the legal and business requirements contained in the templates by overwriting the country-specific parameters in company code 0001, combining the company code with the appropriate controlling area. For standard countries that use chart of accounts INT, that means a combination of the company code 0001 and controlling area 0001. For countries with their own chart of accounts, the result is a combination of company code 0001 and controlling area XX01 (again, where XX is the country key). You execute the Country Installation Program in your test system, in a copy of client 000. You then test the Customizing settings and transport them to your production system.

You must not execute the program in your production system, as it will change the current Customizing settings to those of the country in question. The program changes the settings of company code 0001 exclusively.

PREREQUISITES:

In order to execute the program, you will need authorization for the authorization object S_TABU_CLI.

PROCEDURE
1. Make sure that company code 0001 in the test client still contains the standard Customizing settings. You must not have changed any settings. If you need to restore the original standard Customizing settings, you can transport them from client 000;

2. In this company code, choose Tools ® Business Engineer ® Customizing, then Basic functions ® Set up clients;

3. Choose Change country-specific settings;

4. Choose Country version;

5. Enter the country that you want to install;

6. Choose Program ® Execute;

7. If the system prompts you to enter the chart of accounts, do so; If you execute the program in test mode, the system does not make any changes to the database, but issues a log of all the changes that the system would normally have made. It does not make any changes unless you execute it in update mode:

Using the entity copy functions (for example, the entity copy functions for company codes or controlling areas), copy the new Customizing settings into a new company code of your choice;
Do not use company code 0001 for production operation;
Check that the copied organizational units and their dependent objects are complete, making any manual adjustments as required. Copying the organizational units into a different company code means that company code 0001 remains available for other country installations.

CREATING MULTIPLE COUNTRY-SPECIFIC COMPANY CODES

Repeat the above procedure for every other country. You do not need to restore the settings in company code 0001 unless you have made changes to the standard Customizing settings (other than installing the country versions).

Solution
Question 1: What is the function of the "Country Install Program" (transaction O035, program RSCICO02)?
Answer: SAP is shipping pre-customizing settings in its client 000. In this client 000 the organization units 0001 of the model enterprise(company code 0001, plant, controlling area, ...) are pre-specified for Germany. For these organization units 0001 you find standard Customizing settings that cover legal and business requirements for Germany. With "Country Install Program" (Transaction 0035), it is possible to generate the Customizing setting for organization unit 0001 of the model enterprise for one of the countries where SAP offers a country version (See note 63805 for further info). After this generation, the organization units 0001 map legal and business requirements of the selected country. You can run the function "Country Install Program" in clients that were created using a current copy of client 000.
Question 2: Is it necessary to run the "Country Install Program" to "activate" a country version?
Answer: No - it is not necessary to run the "Country Install Program" to activate a country version.
Question 3: What is the environment ("client") needed to run the "Country Install Program"

Answer: To get predictable results you have to run the function "Country Install Program" in clients that were created using a current copy of client 000.

Question 4: Does the "Country Install Program" copy entries from client 000 to the where I run this program?
Answer: No, the "Country Install Program" does not copy entries from client 000 to another client.
Question 5: Will the "Country Install Program" delete/change the customizing entries I have maintained for organizational units 001 (company code 001, plant 001, sales organization 001, ...)?
Answer: Yes - the country install program will delete/change customizing entries for organizational units 001 (company code 001, plant 001, ...) in the client where you run this program.
