If you have not used this tip in a while, check it out as some new features were added during upgrades and enhancements. If you have a transaction you go to right after you log in to SAP, you can create a shortcut on your desktop to the transaction. You can create shortcuts to any number of transactions.
- Go to the transaction for which you want to create the desktop shortcut.
- Click on the Customize Local Layout button (right-most button on the standard toolbar.
- Click on the Create Shortcut to... option.
- The Create New SAP Shortcut pop-up window is displayed.
- The text in the Title field will be used for naming the desktop shortcut. You can change this text to have a different name for the desktop shortcut that is created. (TIP: It is a good idea to put the transaction code in the Title for easy recognition on your desktop.)
- In the Location field, select the location where you want your shortcut to be created, SAP Logon (inside the Logon Pad), Desktop, orBrowse to create it at another location.
- Click on the Finish button at the bottom right of the Create New SAP Shortcut pop-up window. If Desktop was selected for the location, a new desktop shortcut is created.
TIP: The name of the desktop shortcut can be changed after it is created. You change it the same way you change any other Windows desktop shortcut.
