SIDE-EFFECTS OF SAP NOTES

When applying one or more support packages, it is possible that some notes in the support packages may cause harmful side-effects in other areas of your SAP system. When SAP has identifies this situation, a new note will be created to correct the side-effect problem. This note will eventually be included in a future support package.

There are two options to get an overview of currently known side-effects of SAP Notes contained in an SAP support package

1. If you are planning to apply a single support package, the section Solutions for Side-Effects in the Support Package Overview page gives an indication on which additional notes you need to apply to correct any side-effect conditions. To enter that page, proceed as follows:
   • If you know the support package name, use the URL https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/supportpackage/<support_package_name>, e.g. https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/supportpackage/SAPKE604A6. Please note that the SP name needs to be capitalized.
   • Alternatively, use the SAP ONE Support Launchpad search or navigate to the support package in the Software Downloads application. In the list of support packages, click the Related Info icon and choose Support Package Overview.
