1706309 - CBT 'CONDITION-BASED TAX CALCULATION BRAZIL' (UPDATED)

Symptom

This note is an updated version of the necessary settings for CBT (Condition-Based Tax) Calculation. The delivery consists of :

1. a documentation (a "cook-book" which enables consultants or customer's key users to implement the condition-based tax calculation for the most important types of taxes required in Brazil: ICMS, IPI, PIS, COFINS, ISS, WHT).
2. a set of BC sets - for releases 600 and above - which can be used to fill the customizing tables faster and easier.

The following are not contained as attachment in this note, but delivered via Support Package in the release 606 and higher:
- Updated SAP Delivery Customizing for CBT and standard BC sets with CBT settings
- Updated documentation for the Tax Manager's Workplace

This delivery is aimed to replace the attachments to the notes: 664855, 747607 and 916003.

How to use this note?
ATTENTION: You should follow all steps, in the exact sequence that is described in the pdf. document. Do not activate any BC set without going through the documentation. 

1. Read carefully the main text of the current note.
2. Go to the Attachments folder of this note, where you will find:

• The document Brazil_Condition_Based_Tax_Calculation_V1.5.pdf'

• The attached document lists the required customizing activities in the sequence they should be performed.

• The document Brazil_Condition_Based_Tax_Calculation_V1.5.pdf' explains how to perform each Customizing activity:

    a) either it explains the settings to be entered manually,
    or
    b) it refers to a BC set, which can be used to fill in the Customizing table.

• The 14 BC sets with CBT settings, which you will find in the attached file 'CBT_BC_Sets'.

3. You should use the document 'Brazil_Condition_Based_Tax_Calculation_V1.5.pdf' and the related BC sets together.
