ONE MORE BRAZILIAN COMPANY SELECTS SAP S/4HANA

Ceitec, a Brazilian semiconductor company, has decided to purchase the new product SAP Business Suite 4 SAP HANA (SAP S/4HANA) and the SAP Simple Finance solution to better integrate its processes and obtain real-time information to move its business forward.
Ceitec, a state-owned company under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), is the first public sector customer to acquire SAP S/4HANA and the first customer in Brazil.
According to Jackson Borges, sales director for Public Sector, SAP Brazil: “With SAP S4/HANA, Ceitec will be able to implement an integrated management process, covering activities that go from the plant floor to the back-office. SAP Simple Finance, leveraged in conjunction with SAP S4/HANA, will enable the company to access updated financial data in real-time to make quick and effective decisions.”
Located in the city of Porto Alegre, south of Brazil, Ceitec designs, manufactures and markets integrated circuits for applications such as identification of animals, medications, blood products, people and vehicles, in addition to authentication, inventory management, asset tracking, among other applications.
Ceitec’s adoption of SAP S4/HANA will have an instrumental role to help them face the challenges of expanding their national production of high-quality chips for both internal and external markets.
SAP launched SAP S/4HANA on February 3, 2015. SAP S/4HANA is a new product fully built on the advanced in-memory platform, SAP HANA and is designed on the most modern design principles with the SAP Fiori user experience (UX) for mobile devices. The new suíte is designed to drive business innovation with simplicity by connecting people, devices and business networks in real time to help support the development of new business models. Cristina Palmaka is managing director of SAP Brazil.
