BEST PRACTICES IN ABAP DEVELOPMENT

The SAP NetWeaver Development work group at DSAG has created a best-practice manual focused on ABAP development. It is now also available in English.

The German-speaking SAP User Group DSAG has created a best-practice manual. The comprehensive set of guidelines provides essential information about programming rules and language concerning ABAP development on the SAP-platform. Alongside aspects regarding performance and ABAP security, it covers topics like compliance, infrastructure, and lifecycle management.  The DSAG development manual also delivers handy tips and impulses that help organize ABAP developments and enhancements in SAP software efficiently.

The manual was originally available in German, but due to great demand, it has recently been translated into English. You can download the English version here.
